During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them. HE Nikai stressed his keenness to work towards consolidating friendship ties, enhancing economic cooperation and building comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, participated in the reception of the "Arab Day in Japan" held by the Council of Ambassadors and Heads of Arab Diplomatic Missions accredited to Japan at the Okura Hotel in Tokyo. The reception was attended by HE Mr. Shinzo Abe, the Prime Minister of Japan, HE Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe, the Minister of Reconstruction and HE Mr. Takashi Yamashita, the Minister of Justice.

HE Mr. Hiromichi Watanabe, Minister of Reconstruction in Japan, Minister in charge of Comprehensive Policy Coordination for Revival from the Nuclear Accident at Fukushima Station, visited the Embassy, accompanied by a high-level delegation. He was received by HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohamed Rafei Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan.

His Highness the Amirr Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received the Crown Prince of Japan, His Royal Highness Prince Naruhito, at his residence in Tokyo on Wednesday evening. The meeting addressed the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their areas of development.
