HE Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, Secretary-General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and Chairman of the Japanese Parliamentary Association for Friendship with the State of Qatar, received at the ruling party headquarters, HE Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them. HE Nikai stressed his keenness to work towards consolidating friendship ties, enhancing economic cooperation and building comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
A number of issues of common interest were discussed, developments in the Gulf region and ways of achieving security and stability in the region.
HE noted the great importance that Japan attaches to the Gulf region and is keen on stabilizing this vital region.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Jassem M. Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary.
