HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan and Commissioner General of the Qatar Pavilion, inaugurated the opening session of the business roundtable organized by Invest Qatar at the State’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, officially opened the State of Qatar’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan and Commissioner General of the Pavilion, also attended the ceremony, alongside a number of high-level dignitaries. The event marked the beginning of Qatar’s participation in this global exhibition, which will run for six months.

HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan and Commissioner General of the Qatari Pavilion, participated in the official opening ceremony of Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Held under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, the event brings together more than 130 countries and 25 international organizations.

Her Imperial Highness Princess Hisako Takamado received HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, at HIH Princess Takamado's Residence. During the meeting, HE the Ambassador extended his greetings and well wishes to Her Imperial Highness on the occasion of the New Year.

HE Mr. Tetsuo Saito, New Chief Representative of the Komeito Party—partner in Japan’s ruling coalition—received HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, at his office. The meeting was also attended by HE Mr. Hirotaka Ishikawa and HE Mr. Hideki Niizuma, both members of the House of Councillors representing the Komeito Party.

HE Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received HE Ambassador Koshikawa Kazuhiko, the Commissioner of the International Horticultural EXPO 2027. The meeting included discussions on the State of Qatar’s participation in the Expo and collaboration with the organizers to ensure the success of this significant international event, scheduled to be held in Yokohama, Japan.

HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla Al-Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, participated in the New Year's Tea Ceremony held at No. 1 Bldg. of the House of Representatives. The event was hosted by three distinguished members of the Japanese Diet: HE. Mr. Keishi Abe, Member of the House of Representatives from the Japan Innovation Party; HE Mr. Jesús Fukasaku, Member of the House of Representatives from the Democratic Party for the People; and HE. Ms. Kaoru Fukuda, Member of the House of Representatives from the Liberal Democratic Party.

HE Mr. Taro Kono, Member of the Japanese House of Representatives, and former Minister of Digital Transformation, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, received HE Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, in his office. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries and explored ways to develop and enhance it across various fields to serve their mutual interests.

HE Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, visited the headquarters of the National Archives of Japan, where he met with HE Mr. Kamata Kaoru, President of the National Archives.

HE Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, conducted an inspection visit to Onagawa Elementary and Junior High School, which was partially funded by the Qatar Friendship Fund in Japan. The visit was part of efforts to support the reconstruction of areas affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
