HM Emperor Naruhito of Japan received the credentials of HE Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Japan.

H.E. Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, attended the Iftar hosted by HE Ms. Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. The Iftar was attended by ambassadors of Islamic countries in Japan.

H.E. Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, chaired the periodic coordination meeting of ambassadors of Gulf Cooperation Council countries accredited in Tokyo. During the meeting, the ambassadors discussed the importance of continuing joint Gulf cooperation, ways to enhance coordination and cooperation with Japan, exchanged views on common issues and interests of the council countries, and discussed ways to develop bilateral relations with Japan.

H.E. Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, attended the Iftar dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, the Prime Minister of Japan, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. The Iftar was attended by ambassadors and heads of missions of Arab and Islamic countries in Japan, as well as members of parliament, deputy ministers, personalities from bilateral friendship associations, and officials from the Japanese Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

H.E. Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, participated in a meeting of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Japan with Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Tokyo.

H.E. Mr. Jaber Bin Jarallah Al-Marri, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, hosted a Iftar dinner in honor of HE. Dr. Ghazi Faisal S BINZAGR, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan, with the attendance of Their Excellecies the Ambassadors of the GCC countries and the Republic of Yemen to Japan.

HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla AL-MARRI, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, paid a courtesy visit to the Waseda University. His Excellency was welcomed upon arrival by President of Waseda University Dr. Aiji Tanaka, the University's Vice President for International Affairs Dr. Masahiko Gemma, Director of Islamic Area Studies at the University Dr. Keiko Sakurai, and a number of professors and ranking faculty members. During the visit, both sides discussed about the 'Chair of the State of Qatar for Islamic Area Studies' and followed up on the progress. Ambassador Al-Marri expressed his willingness for any future collaboration between the State of Qatar and Waseda University.

HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla M. A. AL-MARRI, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, meet with Mr. Takashi Morisaki, Chairman of Mitsubishi Research Institute Inc. (MRI). During the meeting, the efforts made by the Institute were reviewed, The meeting also explored opportunities for further collaboration between the Institute and research institutes in the State of Qatar.
