H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received at the embassy in Tokyo, H.E. Mr. Dimitris Caramitsos-Tziras, Ambassador of Greece to Japan.

We are happy to announce the launch of the official logo of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and Japan this year. Both countries respective embassies will celebrate this commemorative occasion during this year and build more opportunities for further cooperation.

‏H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received H.E. Mr. Abdulkarim Tohme Mahdi Kaab, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Japan, who paid a courtesy visit to the embassy with the aim of acquaintance and strengthening cooperation between the two embassies.

H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abu Bakr Saleh Fattah, the new Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Japan, who paid a courtesy visit to the embassy with the aim of acquaintance and strengthening cooperation between the two embassies. The meeting discussed coordination and cooperation in regards to bilateral relations and regional situations.

H.E. Mr. Taro Honda, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Japanese House of Representatives, received H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan. The meeting discussed topics of common interest on bilateral, regional and international levels.

HE Mr. NAGAOKA Kansuke, Assistant Minister and Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Bureau, who recently assumed his position, received HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, to discuss bilateral relations and means of developing and strengthening them in various fields to serve common interests between the two countries.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed. Following the meeting, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan chaired the official opening session of the first strategic dialogue between the governments of the State of Qatar and Japan, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan received Mr. Katsuno Satoru, Chairman of the Japan-Qatar Friendship Association (JQFA). The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them. It was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Jassim Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary and Mr. Nasser bin Yousef Al Kaabi, Third Secretary at the embassy.

H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan received H.E. Mr. Nayef bin Marzouq Al Fahadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan. The meeting discussed topics of mutual interest.

HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al Emadi paid a visit to the Japanese University of Waseda, in order to follow-up on the progress of the 'Chair of the State of Qatar for Islamic Area Studies' project, which comes in implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as an initiative to enhance cooperation between the institutes and institutions of education and scientific research in the State of Qatar and Japan.
