HE Mr. Jaber Jaralla AL-MARRI, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, paid a courtesy visit to the Waseda University. His Excellency was welcomed upon arrival by President of Waseda University Dr. Aiji Tanaka, the University's Vice President for International Affairs Dr. Masahiko Gemma, Director of Islamic Area Studies at the University Dr. Keiko Sakurai, and a number of professors and ranking faculty members. 

During the visit, both sides discussed about the 'Chair of the State of Qatar for Islamic Area Studies' and followed up on the progress. Ambassador Al-Marri expressed his willingness for any future collaboration between the State of Qatar and Waseda University.
