‏HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al-Emadi received the Ambassador of Japan to the State of Qatar HE Mr. Kazuo Sunaga. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Japan x Qatar diplomatic relations. The two officials exchanged views on Tokyo 2020 Olympics as well as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️.

The State of Qatar valued the inauguration of the Qatar Chair for Islamic Area Studies at Waseda University in Japan, which comes in implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to enhance cooperation and scientific, academic, and research exchange with Japan. This came during the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi in the inauguration ceremony of the chair, which was held via videoconferencing.

H.E. Mr. Nayef bin Marzouq Al Fahadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan received H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tokyo. The meeting discussed topics of mutual interest.

H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Muhammad Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received Tuesday afternoon a Japanese parliamentary delegation that included H.E. Mr. SEKIGUCHI Masakazu, Chairperson, General Assembly of Party Members of the House of Councillors, H.E. Mr. SEKO Hiroshige, Secretary-General for the LDP in the House of Councillors and H.E. Mr. ASAHI Kentaro, Member of the House of Councillors.

H.E. Mr. Masao Uchibori, Governor of Fukushima Prefecture, received in his office H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Muhammad Rafei Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, as part of an inspection tour he made to two facilities that were carried out by the Qatar Friendship Fund in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture, as part of the fund’s projects to reconstruct areas that witnessed widespread destruction as a result of the earthquake and tsunami disasters in March 2011.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the 2011 disasters, H.E. Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi took an inspection tour to two facilities, which were completed by the Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) in Japan's Fukushima prefecture, as part of the fund's projects for the reconstruction of areas that witnessed widespread damage due to the earthquake and tsunami disasters in March 2011. ​
