HE Mr. Manabo Miyagawa, Assistant Foreign Minister of Japan and Director General of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, our Ambassador to Japan, at his office at the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al Emadi delivered an opening speech at the inaugural meeting of the Japanese Parliamentary Assembly for the success of the 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, to be held in Kyoto, on April 2020. The meeting was attended by a number of Japanese parliamentarians, politicians, officials, representatives of international organizations and diplomatic missions accredited to Japan.

As part of its efforts to promote friendship and understanding with the Japanese society, the Embassy held an introductory day for the State of Qatar at Japanese Kami-Itabashi Junior School, on an invitation by the school administration in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Officials from the Education Department of the Metropolitan Government, the school administration and around 400 students attended the event.

HE Ambassador Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi participated in a Ramadan Iftar Dinner hosted by the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for all Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries in Japan.

Our Ambassador, HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, hosted an Iftar dinner with some of the ambassadors of Arabic and Islamic countries in Tokyo. The dinner reflected the spirit of brotherhood, friendship and mutual cooperation. It was attended by HE Mr. Yousef bin Mohammed Bilal, former Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, and HE Mr. Abdulrahman bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi, former Ambassador of Kuwait to Japan. During the ceremony, HE Al Emadi congratulated them on receiving decorations at the Imperial Palace, in honor of their great efforts in developing friendly relations with Japan.

HE Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, Secretary-General of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and Chairman of the Japanese Parliamentary Association for Friendship with the State of Qatar, received at the ruling party headquarters, HE Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them. HE Nikai stressed his keenness to work towards consolidating friendship ties, enhancing economic cooperation and building comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Our Ambassador, HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, invited all the Qatari students living in Tokyo to celebrate the Holy month of Ramadan and hosted an Iftar dinner in his residence. The dinner was also attended by Mr. Abduallah bin Jassem M. Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary.

HE Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the Komeito Party (the junior partner of the ruling coalition of Japan), received at the party's headquarters this afternoon, HE Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them, as well as a number of issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Jassem M. Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary.

HE Mr. Shigeaki Okamoto, Vice Minister of Finance, , received HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, at the Japanese Ministry of Finance this morning. During the meeting, bilateral relations were discussed and ways to strengthen and develop them, as well as a number of issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Jassem M. Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary and Mr. Rashid bin Mubarak Al Khater, Second Secretary of the Embassy.

HE Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received HE Mr. Tadahiko Ito, Member of the Japanese House of Representatives, Secretary-General of Japan-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Association on Wednesday. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing them as well as the parliamentary relations between the two friendly countries.
