Qatar's Ambassador to Japan to receive the President and CEO of LNG JAPAN,

H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al Emadi, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, received at his office on Tuesday morning Sep 25th, Mr. Hiroshi Kawagara, President and CEO of LNG Japan, and his entourage, which included a number of senior officials of the company, including Vice President Mr. Takeshi Katsumaya. Mr. Hiroshi and the accompanying delegation welcomed the Ambassador to Japan and wished him well in his mission.





Embassy’s diplomats to hold a farewell party for the Arab diplomats and officials who will leave Japan after the end of their terms..

In the framework of the diplomatic and social activities of the Embassy, ​​and in an initiative that reflects the spirit of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation among the Arab diplomats, Mr. Abdullah Bin Jassim AlZeyarah, the Minister Plenipotentiary and Mr. Rashid bin Mubarak Al Khater, the Second Secretary of the Embassy, hosted a luncheon in Tokyo on Monday 9, 2018, to bid farewell to a number of Arab diplomats and officials working at Arab companies, who will leave Japan after the end of their terms.


The Embassy participates in an event sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote the Qatari heritage

As part of the Cultural activities to promote national identity and to establish the principle of openness to world cultures and to highlight the rich cultural wealth and unique heritage of the State of Qatar, the Embassy participated on 25 June 2018 in a cultural event at the Arima Primary School in downtown Tokyo. The participation came at the invitation of the school, which has chosen the Embassy of the State of Qatar, as part of activities sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in cooperation with local governments to introduce the cultures of other countries, in preparation for the Tokyo Summer Olympics Games to be hosted in 2020.


Qatar's Ambassador to Japan to meet with the Mayor of Onagawa

H.E. Yousef Bilal, Qatar’s Ambassador to Japan, received in his office at the Embassy, H.E. Yoshiaki Suda the Mayor of Onagawa and his accompanying delegation. Onagawa is a coastal town located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. During the meeting, an agreement on the construction of a multi-stage school project (Elementary, Middle and High schools) in Onagawa was signed. This project is one of the projects funded by the Qatar Friendship Fund (QFF) in Japan. This fund was established by the State of Qatar for the people of Japan following the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, for the relief efforts and reconstruction of the areas that have experienced widespread destruction.


The Embassy celebrates Qatar's Sports Day in Japan

In the framework of the celebrations of the State of Qatar' Sports Day on February 14, 2017, the Embassy organized a sports Day in Japan,led by H.E. H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the foreign minister of the State of Qatar, to make an official working visit to Japan.

H.E. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, made an official working visit to Japan during the period October 1 - 4, 2016, as part of an Asian tour. During the visit his Excellency held bilateral talks with H.E. Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Minister of Japan, and discussed ways to strengthen and develop the friendly relations and cooperation and vowed to make efforts to realize the vision of leaderships in the two countries to build a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
