Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan participates in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour sponsored by Coca Cola
The Embassy participated in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour sponsored by Coca-Cola, to all 32 countries that qualified for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, including Japan.The event was attended by President of the Japan Football Association Mr. Kohzo Tashima, President of Coca-Cola Japan Mr. Jorge Garduno, former Brazilian football star Rivaldo, and former Japanese football star Yoshito Okubo.
H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he expressed his appreciation to Coca-Cola Company for sponsoring the significant World Tour of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. H.E. mentioned that Japan is an important stop in this tour and that this event provides a rare opportunity for the Japanese people to witness the most famous symbol of the world's largest sporting event.
H.E. continued by congratulating the Japanese people on the qualification of their national football team to the World Cup finals, noting that this will encourage more Japanese fans to come to the State of Qatar to support and support their national team.H.E. pointed out as well that the country's hosting of the World Cup coincides with the 50th anniversary of Qatar - Japan diplomatic relations and added that "our strong relations with Japan, which are based on friendship, cooperation and common interests, have been further strengthened by people exchanges", and expressed his expectations that the great sporting event will provide an opportunity for Japanese friends to get more acquainted more with their second country, Qatar.
Ambassador AlEmadi concluded his speech by inviting the Japanese people to visit the State of Qatar this year to watch the FIFA 2022 World Cup and support their national team.
