H.E. Mr. Masao Uchibori, Governor of Fukushima Prefecture, received in his office H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Muhammad Rafei Al-Emadi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, as part of an inspection tour he made to two facilities that were carried out by the Qatar Friendship Fund in Japan’s Fukushima Prefecture, as prt of the fund’s projects to reconstruct areas that witnessed widespread destruction as a result of the earthquake and tsunami disasters in March 2011.

H.E. Masao appreciated the State of Qatar's stand with the Japanese people during the crisis by contributing to the efforts of reconstruction of the areas affected by the disasters, and said that the QFF projects contributed greatly to the recovery and regeneration of the areas affected by the disasters, by improving the lives of thousands of people and providing thousands of jobs, and that the Japanese people will not forget this generous humanitarian gesture from the State of Qatar.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdullah bin Jassim Al Zeyara, Minister Plenipotentiary, and Mr. Nasser bin Yousef Al Kaabi, Third Secretary at the embassy.
