At the invitation of HE the Mayor of Onagawa town, Miyagi Prefecture, HE Mr. Jaber bin Jarallah Al Marri, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Japan, visited the Town. 
During his visit, HE met with HE Mr. Suda Yoshiaki, Mayor of Onagawa Town, and observed the remarkable recovery and significant development achieved in the region, which had suffered extensive devastation due to the earthquake and tsunami of March 2011. It is worth noting that Onagawa Twon is one of the beneficiaries of the Qatar Friendship Fund, established to support the rehabilitation efforts in the affected areas.
