His Excellency Mr. INOUE Shinji, Minister in charge of the World Expo Osaka-Kansai 2025 received our Ambassador to Japan H.E. Mr. Hassan bin Mohammed Rafei Al Emadi, in the presence of the ambassadors of Spain, Ireland and Luxembourg to Japan.

Minister Inoue explained during the meeting the current arrangements for organizing the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025, affirming Japan's firm determination to make it a success and requesting the support and participation of the State of Qatar and the other three countries in this important event. H.E. Ambassador Al Emadi expressed the State of Qatar's support for the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 and its strong interest in an effective participation and success of this great international event.

They discussed during the meeting bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them among a number of issues with common interest.

It should be noted that the State of Qatar has received an official invitation from the friendly government of Japan to participate in the aforementioned exhibition, which is scheduled to be organized in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025. The theme of the exhibition will be "Designing a Future Society for Our Lives", and the accompanying activities are consistent with the goals of sustainable development.
