Word from the Ambassador

As the Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Japan, I would like to welcome you to the official website of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Japan.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep pride at the level of good relations between the State and Japan, which are based on the basis of strong friendship and joint cooperation and are fostered by the mutual respect and trust between the leadership of the two countries.

Relations with Japan are one of the pillars of Qatar's foreign policy, and have always been characterized by strong rapprochement and fruitful cooperation. The economic exchanges between the two countries have been a backbone of these diverse relations.

For more than four decades, we have been able, with the strong political will of the two countries, to lay solid foundations for bilateral cooperation and exchange in all economic, cultural, technical, scientific, defense and security fields.

Efforts to strengthen and strengthen ties with Japan are based on the vision of His Highness the Emir (may Allah protect him) to transfer relations from cooperation level to comprehensive strategic partnership.

I would like to confirm my keenness to work closely with our Japanese friends to further the cooperation, coherence and coordination in new and multi-faceted areas towards achieving the desired strategic partnership goal.

I must point out that Japan is an important trading partner for the State of Qatar, as one of the largest importers of energy. Japanese companies are our first customers in the export of liquefied natural gas(LNG), and are still one of the largest and most important partners in this field.

The economic cooperation between the two countries is not limited to the energy sector. There are many joint projects, and giant Japanese companies contribute to vital infrastructure projects, especially those related to Qatar's hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

We hope that this site will be a useful window for communicating and introducing the State of Qatar and its people. We hope that you will find all that interests you, especially regarding the culture, tourism and the huge commercial and investment opportunities available in the country. We also welcome all your opinions and suggestions, which you will find, God willing, our attention and follow-up.
